Can't shift it much faster unless you have a short throw. The video isn't doing it justice.

I started out with a gutbag and could shift it almost as fast as my NV4500, until it blew. Too weak...

I actually feel that in the drag race scenario, the gutbag shifts pretty fast. It does suck under normal operation though, just has a poor syncro setup.

The Getrag with a stock engine is worthless for pulling (because of that third gear dead zone) and on a modified engine will shank it unless you over fill it, then it pukes.
My NV4500 has put up with a lot of crap.

My ultimate choice would probably be a 6 speed Lenco with lightning rods though!

No way I could do that! My NV5600 wouldn't let me anyhow. It shifts plenty fast for me though.

Not that I am a super shifter. ( I am not ) I had a couple buddies in high school that wanted me to teach them speed shifting. One friend had a camaro with a muncie and another one had a 280Z. It was sure fun running there trannys showing them the ropes. The guy with the 280 was blown away at how I shifted his car. His poor clutch. They had been with me in my chevy 4x4 with the old granny 4. I could rip gears about 75 % of the time without missing 3rd. The poor engine took some revs the other 25% of the time. I have even been with my mother when she ripped 2nd gear in a Mustang GT 5.0 my parents had. I about pee'd myself.
