Speaker Polarity

My left door speaker wires are green and black.
Is the green wire the positive? Anybody know?
I'm trying to hook up replacement speakers and want to make sure
I have the polarity correct.

To be very honest, you won't hear any difference. Try it, you won't hear a difference. I use to install these for a living at a high end stereo shop, custom boxes elaborate alarms and car audio systems. If its a factory radio or something under ~ 200 watts of power. Won't make a difference. Once you get into separates and dedicated amplifiers in excess of 1000 watts, then at that point you have to worry about "in phase" and "out of phase" speakers. In the poory insulated trucks such as mine and yours. Not a drop of difference. I'm sure someone here will say different. But your ears will tell..........no difference.

It is just a Sony CD deck that's in there. I pulled the door panel to
lubricate the sticky window regulator and I decided to install some cheap
Wally World speakers in since I had the kick panel off
