You never miss an opportunity to post about bigexhaust.com, do you Bill?

That will be where I get my exhaust. Sorry to hear about the bad experience with Stan's, Big Rich.

I still contend that stans and big exhaust distribute the exact same kit, fabbed up by the do-it shop in iowa

Down pipe was to long coming out thus causing it to press against the cover on the firewall, shop had to take out about 1.5-2" of pipe. Not really that big of a deal, but I would not have been able to do it at home.

Over the kit was good.

I check out the bigexhaust site, and would have had to have my shop make a down pipe for my truck anyhow.

I trade out the long muffler that came with the stan's kit for a 14" Magnaflow muffler. I love the sound and I think my neighbors will be cool with

Something seems off here. A WG housing is only 1.25" longer, so having to remove 1.5-2" from the DP seems like a lot. My DP from Stan's has about an inch between the heater box insulation and the DP. If I removed another 2" from it there would be TONS of room.

We had make a shield to strap on the down pipe, to protect the cover. I've got no room at all.

Well maybe I compressed the frame when I broke the pitman arm at 55mph and hit the dirt embankment thus stopping in about 5 feet

So you only had to modify the DP because you added the heat shield?

I bought a Jardine exhaust on special on the other forum, and the downpipe didn't even come close to fitting and my turbo setup is completely stock...Hit the bellhousing bolt boss and the frame. What did I expect for $300 shipped though. I think the best solution for all of us is to fab a downpipe and buy the rest from bigexhaust.com, or get the rip rook DP and mod that.

No, once they had cut the 1.5-2" off, we still we're to close so we attached a heat shield to protect the cover.....
