Skyjacker 2.5 springs... 5/8" off

what do you guys think, I got my 2.5 springs in and one side is almost 5/8" lower that the other.. It looks screwed up.. you can see it plain as day.. I Know the springs have to settle in, but there shouldn't be that much of a difference. I've had custom springs made before and they were perfect.. So...who the question is will skyjacker take care of me.. I will be callin them first thing in the morning.. I'll keep ya'll informed!!

Are these rear springs? The side that is arched more could be for the driver side to compensate for the fuel tank weight.

Or for the pass. side to combat the squat/wrap on that corner... but I'm guessing they're front leafs (as most folks would just slap a set of blocks in the rear)

They are fronts. I've installed quite a few of leafs and never had a pair that were side specific. As for the rear I have no blocks and stock leafs with custom drop hangers.

I just put a 6 inch with springs all around in mine and the same thing. It was a skyjacker too, I'm curious to here what they say. Mine is lower on the drivers side front. I might put the overload spacer from the back on the front(it is 1/2 inch thick) just to stop the tire on that side from rubbing. This spacer is notched for the u bolts so it shouldn't go anywhere(as I know putting blocks in the front isn't a good idea, but i can't see this being a problem).

when i put mine on, they were dead even, about 3 5/8 " off the bump stop, now they have settled and the driver side is about a 3/16" lower. 5/8 sounds wrong.

the Driver's side is heavier on theses trucks 2wd or 4wd. there was even a SB put out to add coil spring helpers on the 2wds. Battery, Driver and Fuel tank are all on the Driver's side.

Well I cut the stock fender flares back and that seemed to work but I haven't put the suspension to the test to see if the tires will rub. When I get the time I'll take it to a spring shop and see if they can re arc that side to match the other. As far as dealing with skyjacker up here it is a useless cause, I wish they weren't the only place for these trucks. I wish I would have known about the place in ohio(I believe, can't remember) that I read about on here first. I put a pro comp kit in my wifes ford, which was an excellent kit, everything fit and everything came with the kit. The kit for my truck didn't come with instructions or the brakelines(which I specifically ordered cause I new I'd need them). The truck does look good, I'll try and get some pics up.

Well, I got them off two day, the pics show the difference if u have a good eye.. But in person, they are terrible.. Something went wrong somewhere.. The one that is sagging is 3/8 longer than the other.. I talked to skyjacker this morning, he said to just send the one that is sagging.. I said no, I will send both and you guys give me a match set.. He didn't say much, except I have to get with my distributer to send them back.. So, I am dealing with them, taking them back this weekend and getting a new set shipped out supposedly.. I will find out more tomorrow

Looks like the arch on the logest spring may be of.could be a quality control issue. has anyone else had problems with the skyjacker springs? My front spirings are close but my rear stock springs are lower onthe driver side.

Has anyone went a different route on springs? More specifically, taking the stock leaf springs and "re-arching" them for a lift or level?

Well, Skyjacker is not standing behind them... They said it is completely normal to have the driver side sagging with brand new springs because of the fuel tank and the driver.. They are so full of B.S... There is about 3 gal of fuel in my tank and I wasn't in the seat..lol But The place where I got them is taking the hit, cause I told them I want a new match set... I've bought a lot of springs from skyjacker in the past and never had an issue like this before... It is a shame when a company that big can't admit if something went wrong on there part.... So lets hope the new ones are right, I'm guessing they will be and I will be sure to give them a call just to let them know!!!

I got a set of +1" Alcan springs a few months ago with a block delete for the rear. The rear sat about 3/4" lower than the front after the install, but the guy at Alcan just sent me a set of blocks free within a few days. I know that doesn't help you with Skyjacker, but you had asked about other spring company's, i think. Rearching is a thing of the past in our area, too. The eco-terrorists think a rat might get the croup from the tempering process, i guess, so they can be rearched, but not tempered, so you're back in the same boat in a few months.

My truck still had a sag at the rear after my new rear springs. They are stanley springs, 9 leaf , very stiff. i put on a new under box on the passenger side and loaded it up with chains, tools, jack, and that helped. I think it is a dodge engineering problem. but now, my truck is within about 1/2 inch at the rear, with the old springs it was 2 inches. it blew my mind.lopsided old dodge.

Ypur pics tell the tale, however also really check the upper frame shackle mount bushing as well as the famous cab mount bushings. I have had ONE instance (not this application) where springs were obivouslly off on the arch, but under load evened out.
