It came in a box of bits along with screwdriver bits, hex head bits, etc. I agree, you can never have too many tools!

Harbor freight has a little ten buck security bit set that has about everything in it, torx, hex, tri-wing, etc. I don't leave home without it.

all the auto parts places can order them, if not stocked, I hate , special tooling, so another option, some locks have a bolt that tightens and breaks off with no tool provision, I use a disc grinder or hack saw blade to make a slot, then use the impact screwdriver to loosen and remove

I was just going to say, be lucky you are not working on a Porsche BMW or Mercedes they use a lot of shear head bolts on the dash and ignition components.

But although they appear to be a blank round head they are really slightly oval and have a driver to remove them.

The security drivers I use on the switch and bottom cover are by Picque, you need a long bit to remove the bottom cover.

But do not pay over $10.00 for them,
New egg is ripping people off for $62.00.

I will post some pictures later.

BTW you did not used to be able to get them anywhere, only fastener specialty shops and they took your name and license number first, try working on motorcraft AVS carbs without them.

GM has been starting to use the shear head bolts. I'm a freaking ningia with a air hammer and a 12" chisel bit. Customers don't seem so enthusiastic about seeing me do it, but hey I have yet to let it get away from me to destroy a cluster.

The real scary one is using the air hammer to knock the riviots out of window glass that is attaching the regulator...

Do you have the SKU or item number by chance ?.
I'm going to get a set at HF and the item number would be handy.

Thanks,
Bob
