School me on injectors...

Well, put the thinnest washers under the POD's the other day, helped some, but these things still have the haze all the time, especially around town. They are an e-bay set, so who knows. I've done a lot of reading on here, but would like it summed up a little. I'm thinking it's time to just go ahead and spend the money on a good quality set of injectors. Don't really wanna step down to the 190's I don't think, because I'm hooked on the power. I've heard many references to EDM's, but haven't really put all the pieces together on them yet. I'm not looking to go hog wild here, but would like some good power, don't care about black smoke when getting it, but want a clean burning injector. I'll sacrifice some power for a clean burn, but am not afraid of spending the money on a really good set. Might as well do it right and be happy with it. Thanks for the input here,

Brian

I was having the same issues as you until last week. I hated the haze around town and didn't think the power was worth it. I had considered going to 190s myself. Then I pulled them out and took them to an injection shop where they pop tested them and found one was popping way early and the pattern was not atomizing. They put a new tip on and adjusted the pressures to where they were closer. I now have a nice clean burning set of injectors around town, a smoother idle and more power. The total cost was $68 and a couple hours in the garage. This may or may not help your situation but it did wonders for mine. The shop I used will pop test injectors for free as I think most will.
