Saturday Night at PIR

I got to see what the beater would do in the 1/4 at the NHRDA event in Portland last weekend. I also got to meet member dstad, which was nice.

This is the first run. I ran 2wd and lost traction as you can see by the second puff of smoke. It ended up being 16.2 @86. Got beat by the powerstroke, he was running in the 14.4 range.

This one I left in 4wd with no boost and got 15.7 @ 86. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fYBN7...eature=channel

The last one I left the line in 4wd @ 1-2 lbs boost and ended up with a 15.4 @ 86. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DO3JY...eature=channel

Mods i have done are as follows: Full power screw, no afc foot, 3200 spring, 3/16 timing, custom intake horn, HE341, 4in exhaust. Stock: tranny, Non I/C injectors and lift pump. The HP calculator over at CompD says I'm putting about 270 to the ground. I punched in the weight at 6200 lbs. All in all I'm satisfied for what i have into it.

Nice man

We ran a 15.5 with half the mods you have and one wheel spinnin in a 91 non i/c D250. But it had a 727 which have pretty good stock converters.

I bet the only thing holding you back from a mid-high 14 second pass is your converter, I can almost guarantee you that.

I can tell by the way it sounds that its making some pretty good top end power.

what do you mean by non i/c injectors? you can't put 9mm injectors into a 92 7mm head is the reason I'm asking

All in all, nice runs for what little you did to the truck.

All three passes were 86 mph? Just curious, is that your top speed? Did you get the 60 foot times? Better E.T. with the same MPH is usually traction getting better, or Driving technique. Your 60 foot time will help you determine that. If 86 mph is a fast as the truck will go, 15.30 or 15.40 is about the best you will see.
Just my 2 cents.

Looks like it was fun! God, I miss it.

Sorry guys thats stock I/C sticks, NOT the non i/c. Yep 86 each time, with better times across the board each time. I've had the truck up in the 105-110 range quite a few times. I'll get the time slips up sometime soon.
