It was a sad day for me.. Sold but never Forgotten!
Well, the day finally came. Had a nice young guy fly up from texas today and proudly drove off this afternoon on a 1300 mile journey home in my first gen. Glad someone bought it that really appreciated all the hardwork I put into it. Here's a few pics today before she pulled away. It was tough to swallow and felt like I was gonna throw up for awhile, but Id rather see it being used instead of sitting in my driveway. Thanks to all who always gave awesome compliments to old girl.

I don't think I've ever seen pic's of your truck, and man alive was I missing out! That there is as fine and beautiful looking truck as one is ever going to see. Too bad she's gone, but onward and upward I say.... (may be hard to go up from there though...)

Wow. Always admired that truck, never knew she was for sale.
How much did she go for, just out of curiosity? I'd imagine that was one of the more valuable 1st gens around, considering the amount of work you had in her.

I miss my D350 c/c duelly. The g/f bought me a 2005 chev 1500HD. It had a6.0 liter gas and sucked fuel like a drunkin sailor in a coastal bar after two years at sea. I got rid of that and just bought a 1999 Ram 1500 C/C 4x4. Waiting for the dealership to do the safety and e-test. I should have it next week. It feels good to be back among the Dodge family again.
That is a great looking first gen you have and something to be proud of. I know how you feel about selling them. Best of luck buying another in the future. I bet the urge is there already.

Thats like selling family so I can understand the toughness of it its a part of you when you have put hour upon hour of blood sweat and money into a truck hopefully the new owner will appriciate that.

When I saw your truck in the classifieds on here (when the trans went on my 91 and I was looking for another truck) back in February I tried to convince my mom to lend me the money to buy it. She said no, it was too old... I just shook my head in disappointment. BUT then I found this ford in my sig for only a bit more than your asking price, so I snatched it up. It's no first gen, but it'll do
Congrats on the sale DNR! though we're all sad to see 'er go.

Thanks guys,
Just an update, the new owner made it home without an issue!! 1300 miles!! got about 17-19 mpg all the way and he was happy. Im sure he will be on eventually, this is where he originally found it!!
