Running rough

A buddy of mine has a 93 W250 auto. Timing bumped 1/8th and fuel pin rotated. After a real hard run for a mile or so it idle's like its only hitting on 3 or so. After about 30 seconds it smooths out. Any ideas?

sounds like it sucking air into the system, It runs fine until you floor it and let off? would if you just accelerate normally? Somewhere somehow theres a breach thats letting air in i betcha.

Is it possible for the lift pump to be bad?

During the run, the fuel pressure drops to zero, allowing air into the system, so when he lets off, it idles funny until the air works it's way out. That might be possible...

I'd put a fuel pressure gauge on there, can't hurt anything.

By the way, SlowSmoke, I know I say this in every thread, but you have a beautiful truck. I love that color.

I agree with the above posts. Air is more than likely getting in somewhere. A cheap fuel pressure gauge will help find the problem and help determine if it's lp or air. Good luck with it.
