Re:ride height

Could it be the dualies where specifically built to a certain heigh that would be optimal for pulling fifthwheels and goosehecks? Just a thought.

Brian

And the 2nd gen 4X4 duallies look like their jacked to the sky. Almost to the point some people have complained about them being so high for pulling 5th wheels.

Basically I think Dodge was just using the same old basic frame and suspension design and just beefing it up where and when they had to. Thus giving no thought about how low a dually was really sitting. And since the front goes up when you load the rear, they probably didn't care. This is my take on it all.

Bill

Re:ride height

ok fellas...here is the info you've been waiting for on the new springs i had built for my '93 4x2 club cab.
well, they definetly lifted the truck up a good 1.5" which totally made enough room for my 235/85/16's to clear with no problem; however...it feels like i'm sitting on a waterbed! i am being tossed up and down and up and down and left and right and left and ...you get the picture. I took the truck over to him and he said that his machine he has at home doesn't allow for the thickness size spring that i need and that he thought he'd just have me try it out and see what the outcome was. he said he will either refund my money($100) or have me wait until he can have a friend use his shop and bend me up a thicker pair at a later time. since its only $100 i told him to go ahead and have his buddy build them later out of thicker material. heck, i was so happy when i first got in the truck, but totally crushed once i took it out on the road! sorry guys, i will have more info in the coming weeks(months!)

;D :'( :'( :'(

I was so hoping the rest of your post was as good as the first few lines. Anyways, maybe the ones his buddy can make will be the ticket. And if they work, perhaps if we can get a dozen or so on order he will make them up fairly quickly. ;D

Keep us updated.

Bill
