RH47 in my 1991.5 D250 truck

Guys,

I wanted to share my finally happy beginning on the RH47 installation. I was never happy with the pressure switch setup to activate the lockup TC. It could oscillate if you hit the wrong speed. I tried adjustable one from Honeywell, TH350 switch, etc etc.
I finally found a different forum talking about them. I purchased a sensor from transducersdirect.com and it was "TP131" sensor. Think that's right. Wired it in and it has a nice adjustment. Now it's engaging at 47-48 mph and falls out around 42 mph. It's an outside grade sensor too. Very nice adjustment. It has the 1/8 NPT threads. I used a short 1/2 inch extension into the 90 degree elbow. All tucked above the lower portion of the trans just in case I go over something I shouldn't.

Very happy and none of hte oscillations which are a clutch killer. Fresh oil and filter and it shifts nicer. not sure how long it will last as there was some grey muck on the magnet in the pan. Is that normal?

I was going to use one of their transducers as a boost over ride to turn off the lock up at high boost pressures. Lets the torque converter do its job without stressing the lock up part. In series before a "delay on" relay controlled by the overdrive would have made for simple control.
