Reverse Lights

My reverse lights are out. I replaced the lamps, but no dice. Does anyone know how and where to test the reverse switch? Could there be a bad ground? Any help would be nice. Also where can I fing oem replacement clearance markers for a 92' 350 dually?

Re:Reverse Lights

I do not currently have my service manual in front of me but I believe the switch is located on the Transmission. That may be gunked up and need a good cleaning. If you have a OHM meter, you should be able to check for juice at the lamp section also.

Sorry I can't help with the marker lights as I only have a W250. I always wondered if your 350 lights would fit under my tailgate section on my 250. I have running lights on my cap during the winter but would like a set during the summer also. That is the only location I see where they might not look too bad.

Re:Reverse Lights

If you're talking about the little clearance lights on the fender flares, try a truck parts store. That's where I got mine.

Re:Reverse Lights

The switch is at the tranny, just depends on wether you have the stick or auto... The manuals have power to the switch that is located on the top of the tranny near the shifter. So you should be able to first see if there is power to the switch and then if you want, can jumper the switch to see if you get the lites to come on.

The side and rear markers are the same ones used on most 18 wheeler trailers and such.. Try any truck/trailer supply place or even a truck stop for replacements. You can get LED versions pretty cheap now-a-days..

J-eh
