I managed to get my red stripe off last year and has been rolled up and stored inside ever since. It needs repainted however since half the red came off with the stripe. Any ideas on just repainting it? Vinyl paint perhaps?

I would try krylon fusion. Might be easier just to make a new one though. The original is translucent and a solid colour might not look right

Look REALLY closely at where the red plastic is mounted and you'll see that it's actually mounted onto a thin piece of aluminum, which is then adhered to the panel itself.

When you look at it very closely, that whole panel is a very, very, very intricate work of art, especially where that red accent strip is mounted.
From the strip applique and it's intricate way of being made, to the D-O-D-G-E embossing, the main panel's brushed finish look, the polished rolled edge, to the latch handle port and the clip retention in the backside to hold it to the tailgate, it's a really amazing piece and took a fortune in tooling to create.

After all of that, all it takes is a minor bump to destroy it.

Mark.

That's why no one followed the concept of stainless steel bodies like the Delorian.
