Rear wheel bearings

Hey all, anyone know where I can get the whole kit for rear wheel bearings? I go some wet hubs and if I'm doing the seal I will do it all.

Timken use to sell the kits but now it doesn't look like it.

Nevermind with a kit. Just get the bearings, races and seals on their own. Quite cheap really.

Be very careful what you order. The outer is a set38. The inner and seal are specific to the Dana 70 srw... the 60 uses smaller stuff and the 70 drw uses bigger. Somebody should be able to chime in with the right number. I'm not at home to check my spare parts...

Yeah let me know, I believe I have a D70 in the back of this W250. Can't confirm though.

Here is a site that has alot of axle parts for these trucks. But you can get spicer or timken bearings everywhere. They sell individual parts also.

If you are not driving the truck regularly then I'd advise pulling it apart and confirming the proper bearings and hub seals. There are 3 different seals and bearing ID's available and I've messed up more then once ordering the wrong stuff. And just because it "should" be this axle doesn't necessarily mean it is.. My axle is a Dana 70 and came with 12x2.5" brakes originally but my axle uses the 12x3" bearings and seals.

That's what I will do, I think I can jack the one side up and save my gear oil. I do drive my truck daily but it should be pretty easy to peak.

Since the 60 and 70 use the same diff cover, axle tube diameter (3" vs 3.5") or axle spline (30 vs 32 or 35) are better "tells" if the tag is gone. Not sure what the 60HD has. All the diesels came with a 70.

I too bought the wrong bearings the first time... Dana 60 stuff instead of 70 srw.

The bearings don't change with brake width. The same drum is used on the 70 srw and drw, but the hub is different. The 60 hub and drum are different again. All can take 3" wide shoes.

The jobber parts listings for our dodges are horrible. You basically have to match numbers or sizes.
