rear pinion nut...
rear pinion nut...
what size is it for the D70?
a special socket that fits within the yoke is needed, but i read a standard socket with .030" machined off of its outside diameter fits. any truth to this?
talked with the dodge dealership on saturday but the techs that were in the garage were doing oil changes and apparently "wouldn't be of any help". whatever dodge.
thanks in advance, Pat

No special socket needed that I know of, I helped replace the ring and pinion gears in my sister's truck and we don't have any special socket just any impact socket as I am sure that is what we used. its been a couple years but I definately don't remember having any problems with getting a socket to fit.
