Rear brakes?

Alright, so I want to get the Cummins running for winter. It's a 1990. I bought a new rear brake hose, and can't install it because the bolt is stripped. I want this thing ready in another week.

Do I...
A) Cut the hose that runs from the distibution block to the crossmember and use a socket to try and get the stubborn fitting out.

-Or-

B) Destroy the fitting and get a new one.

I just want some opinions, because I really want this thing working soon. This bolt is really stuck on here.

And on top of that, the Anti-Lock brake light stays on all the time. I removed the ABS computer that sits behind the glove compartment and the light goes out, but I'm not sure if the problem is in the computer, or somewhere in the RWAL valves. If anyone knows a good way to diagnose this issue please let me know, because I don't want to spend nearly $200 on a computer that I don't need.

Also, are there any requirements for my trucks emmisions? I live in MA and can't seem to find anything on light duty truck emmisions.

i would get some vice grips and brake the line loose then i would try to get the aether side of the link(were the junction block is on the axle) loose and then just pull the hole thing out. then you could replace that line or us vice grips to install the striped line back on and then install the aether end of the line back into the block!

as far a the abs light there is a sensor on the rear end and there is a wire that gos between the frame and and the sensor. remove this section of wire and get a ohms meter and see if it's bad!

I found the break in the wire! Thanks a bunch! As soon as I took apart the plug towards the rear sensor I noticed that the last time it was taken apart one of the prongs came off and broke the connection! I bought some new male and female plugs and will fix it tomorrow. Does anyone know if the wires have specific poles, of it's like a lightbulb of a speaker and can work either way?

Also, I did get off the bolt to the hose, and I am in the process of completing the rear brake lines, BUT I need to get off the rear right drum in order to get at the wheel cylinder to get at the stripped fitting on that side. As you all know, it's just one thing after another!
