Rear axle ???
I think it is a D 70 but when i look for any parts there are a few to choose from what is the standard rear in the 1992 W250 ?
D-70
D-70hd
D-70u
I would guess and say D-70hd but would like to be sure

The 70HD has 4" axle tubes like a D80. They were mainly a dually rear AFAIK. The 70-U tubes do not neck down before the brake flange.
It should say on the housing what model it is. Usually is is on the webbing of the center section.
The '89 says 70-2U on it. You can kind of see it here:

I just finished polishing the livin daylights outta the tag on the rear and this is what i got

oh and my axle tubes do narrow down before the brake housing sorry my bad
