Anyone have any washer nozzles? I can't believe how expensive they're.. these days it wouldn't be too hard to create a plastic nozzle on a 3d printer for our trucks.

LOL, still waiting to install the ones I got from you, Oliver. This coming Tuesday I find out if my Dr will let me get off from using this walker and drive! Once he okays me to drive, that'll allow me to work out, and get strong so I can get them nozzles on!

How did you get into this situation in the first place?

Took the RC out for a drive with the wife and daughter. Daughter just loves how she can look out the windows and had the biggest smile on her face. It was raining like crazy, all was good until water started pouring in at the driver side. My wife was laughing at me getting soaked.. until water started to pour in on her side.

That night I grinded the top part where the rain edge was. After a bunch of bondo flying off there was some rusted out spots. Wind shield will have to come out.

I'll have to get the mig on it, not as bad as I thought it would be, though.

Hey all, sorry for the lack of pictures and updates. I put new tires on the rig (goodyear authority 31x10.5/r15) and I welded the holes in the roof and glazed some lead to fill the imperfections. Unfortunately after that I came down with a combination of strep throat and bronchitis. Week two and I feel like crap, but at least I'm walking around now.

Don't mean to pry/question as I am not sure about the procedure you used with working on the lead, but you think the lead fumes(if any) had something to do with the illness?
Here in CA, lead is almost gone gone.

Negative, I went to the doctors and they tested for bacteria. I came back positive. If the bacteria survived all that heat I would have to say that is quite amazing.

I've always use lead, I'm not sure if the bondo/glaze is safe either(it is very volatile stuff). If you want something to last really long, lead works really well. I do like evercoat products.

Lead is an awesome product! I have worked a lot with lead roof jack flashings for commercial tile roofs, lead pans, etc. Lead is not 100% banned yet in CA, but close. I have to teach apprentices how to solder that stuff horizontally and vertically, but for sure always around powered ventilation.
As you probably know, it's affected the ammo industry, and as of late, in getting my tires balanced, the shop I go to is 100% lead free with the weights. The workers hate the new product, and I'm not sure of the materials used, because the wheel weights don't stay on like the lead ones did.
Anyway, didn't mean to get off track on your RC build, just was concerned about your sudden health issues and you had mentioned lead use

Anyone know what the 4bt gets for mpg? I've been digging around on the googles and people claim from 18mpg to 50+. What is a realistic number? I get roughly 23mpg with the 6bt in the W250 down a highway, I would expect the same from a 4bt (20-23mpg).

That will be handy, thanks for sharing.

You have a site for converting old school? I've been trying to find what's comparable to the old 7.50 x 16s on my '77 W200.

If you do you can PM me so as not to hijack.

I would say you will do better.

Back when I was driving my 79 GMC with no overdrive, 4.11's and tall skinny tires, I literally would have it against the floor ( guessing 2500 PMS? ) and still got around 25.

I would say 25-28 should be easy cheesy with OD.
