Anyone know what size the radio antenna hole is on our 1st gen's? 1" or 3/4"? I used my 93 W250 the other day, and went to listen to some tunes on FM, and got nothing? My stereo/cd player is a Jensen CD3610, which is probably 10 years old? It was on the truck when I bought it. I just replaced the faceplate, as the forward/back seek buttons no longer worked.
I looked under the radio today, and found the antenna connection is still on. I was going to try plugging in another antenna, without mounting it, and see if that is my problem? I am guessing the FM mode on the head unit is no longer functioning? If I order an antenna, I will probably just go through Crutchfield. Also; if I need to replace the head unit, I will probably go with a Pioneer or Kenwood CD player with HD radio. Is a Pioneer a better head unit these days, than Kenwood? They probably are both made in China???
