Thats nothing, I got to drive it up the north east extension to Rt. 22 with my dad following in my truck. What a ride, 2 good running 1st gen, both capable of completely clouding out the road.

I would have had 1/4 miles times on friday, but the closed the track because it was supposed to rain, didn't but they didn't want to open. Oh well, theres always next friday. I'll have the WH1C on by then.

My pump is pretty much maxed out with my afc lever ground, star wheel bottomed and my fuel pin has been dremelized. I have a hx35/40 hybrid turbo, but the shaft is bent so when i ran i had the h1c on with 12cm housing, bosch 190's (they are about to be changed because I want something that flows more can't decide on pods or if i want to splurge and get some ddp stage 4's any opinions?) straight piped exhaust and a k&n filter soon to be a bhaf. And it is all on a stock tranny !!! It is just a matter of time!

Thats good stuff, I was thinking my truck was going to be in the mid to high 15's. I might have to rethink that. I hope it doesn't rain this friday .

smokin92: You planning to go to the track this Friday (30th)? I am, but not sure I want a piece of you with those 1600* EGT's!! I have mine tuned for towing so max EGT's stay under 1300* now. I doubt that will be much competition for you with the amount of fuel your pushing to get to 1600. Maybe I'll have to give in and crank her up a bit to stay with you at the track!

flashgordon: Any way you could make it down to take a few runs with us? I know it's kinda far from home and sucks if you break something, but we won't leave you stranded if that happens!

I am thinking about going this friday. My friend wants to run his truck, but will only do it if i run with him. I was just going to count my blessings cause i didn't break anything and wait until i get some tranny work done, but i can't back down from a challenge!

Im in Grand Junction CO 275 miles from Salt lake, I was at dyno days 1 1/2 years ago, I was the only first gen there, there were very few PSDs or Duracraps there that had my torque readings.
I did drag mine last winter, open rear end 2WD only 16.90 but 88 MPH, Im just not able to hook up the tires. I need a posi, I need traction.
I would love to come out there, unfortunatly I have to take that huge cabover camper off, if I want to run good times
PM me so I know what events are going on out there.

I thout about going but have famly over. Tryed the 3 gear takoff
Dave was right, you cant slip a stock getrag clutch.
put it in 3d and just fig i give it a little slide to get it moving and boost to start. i probably didn't slide the clutch more the 1 sec before the peddle was compeatly reseased. the boost came up and and the eng held rpm and keep climbing! after a nether couple sec., and it wasn't excelerating, i let off the go peddle only to smell that bad clutch smell
I did this test on thursday night! friday night i bought a new air fressiner

Needles to say i desided that it wouldn't be that inpressive to go but i still want to see what it will do!

Some day i will go down and fined out!

I agree with you about only seeing dyno numbers and no track times. We need more 1st gens to show up at the events. There is really no excuse why an auto truck could not make it out to the track and put down some decent times. I hope I can make it to Edge days this year.
rockjeep73 has an even faster time than me.
Any of you guys going to truckfest?
Kurt

I didn't make it down with the truck friday cause it had a fuel leak and I didn't have time to fix it. I did go down and watch though. Jrussell is probably disappointed with his time, but I know that he can run a couple seconds faster than that. My truck is an auto with the stock tranny!

I'm stripping this beast down and I'll be back next time they're open! Lost at least 400lbs of crap from the back and I'm cutting the plow mount off tomorrow. That has to be at least 200-300lbs up front. In addition to that, the fuel screw is in another turn (until it hit the messed up threads from the collar).

I guess you noticed I didn't power brake it at all at the start. I have trouble trying to build boost before I launch and still keep traction. My reaction time was about two days off too. I think it definitely could have done better, but I was so disgusted by the 1st run I just took off.

EDIT TO ADD: Your reaction time is not added in as part of the ET right? I mean the ET would be the same whether your RT was .600 or 1.000 right?
