I ran the old truck in the quarter mile last night! I was pretty happy with my run, it ran a 15.1 @ 87mph with a little loss of traction and i had to the stock turbo on because I bent the shaft of the hybrid that is in my signature. Let me know what you guys think.

What did you run with the hybrid before?

 

I was just driving down the freeway and i lost boost and i could hear the wheel hitting the housing. That was the first time I have raced it! I am hoping with that turbo and better traction i will get into the 14's!

 

Im guessing this is an auto right?

 

Man, I was gonna take my truck out there and run it last night, but my oil return line from the turbo was leaking and it was dark already. It would have been nice having another 1st gen out there to run with. You planning to go next Friday night (I called and they are having it again next week)?

Also, what were your max EGT's at the end of the track?

Not yet, but I should be out there next time the track is open to the public. I believe that's next Friday!

It's to bad that you didn't have a et slip, before all the mods were dun , to see, just how much better the truck runs now!

 

I would have been WAY too embarrased to run it at the track stock!

At least now when the ricers laugh at me I can blow their doors off imediately after.

I'll say that I'm impressed and also inspired. I never saw any posted ET's of first gens just the dyno numbers. I have a lot of work ,body-wise ,to do to my wrecked 91 toy, but i have already got very interrsted in bombing it and I think I'll follow your signature of mods other than I think wannadiesel talked me into the HTT mod on the turbo. Anything in the 14's is great and even with the stock turbo you'll be there with any kind of traction.

dude i followed(for a short time), wannadiesel in his bombed 93 down the Pa. trpke and there was no 'clean' lane,--------- on EITHER side. LOL, crossy

 

I'm game for running again! I never back down to a challenge! It would be cool to see another 1st gen down there because we surprise a lot of people! My first run i went up against a 24 valve with an edge comp some formula 1 injectors and a phat shaft turbo and i beat him all the way down the track! There were also a couple of powerjokes there with edge juices and water meth that i think were pretty butt hurt that my old truck can out run their $40,000 truck on any day of the week! JRussell has what i wish i had, 4x4 so maybe i could hook up a little better! You should definitely come it is the funnest thing that i have ever done! My egt gauge was maxed out at about 1600 maybe time for some water meth?
