Putting 2nd Gen Mirrors on a 1st Gen.. ( PICS)
So, I am curious, why not mount the mirrors to the door in the factory mounting location rather than over the vent window? I am have looked at all the pictures and sat in my truck trying to visualize it. I think that the passenger side mirror would be high enough to be visible still. You'd still need to box in the mounting to cover the gap, but I think it could be made to look a little more factory that way. Thoughts?

Ya know i really like the look of those. I've been thinkin about doin this for a while now. Maybe i'll do it before i get new paint. I hate lookin at mine and having everything blurry behind me cuz they move and vibrate so much.
any pictures of them from the front with them both flipped out?

As much as I like the 5.9, I liked my 05 f250 mirrors much more than the flip ups that were on my 2500. Is there room in the door for a full window that goes out to the mirror? As I remember, vent windows(and AC) were options 20 years ago on my 89 isuzu. I think a 1 piece window would look good.
