Not true! I'm getting ready to dump the stack (to facilitate adding a topper and to blow soot into the ricers windows) this weekend. While it's all stock 3" minus the exhaust, I'll likely gain some breathing by removing 3 hard 90* bends the PO made to get it routed over the frame/under the bed to the stack 
Until funds allow for a complete 4" setup over the winter... it'll have to do
