Pulled out the snowplow!
back in the seventies i drove a little cj2a 1951 jeep all stock with a flathead four banger. took alot of stuff from the boys about driving such a rig. so as fate would have it one of the boys was driving daddy's brand new single axle grain truck and upon leaving the stop sign he was at wrapped up the driveline and was sitting across the state highway. i drove up the side of the road with my little jeep , traffic backed up both ways, hooked up a chain, truck had full load of grain and pulled him up the road slowly to next wide shoulder. story was all over about the little jeep that could.
Not enough weight to sink down and bite and tires not wide enough to float! I'm suprised you hade the weight to keep the rubber to the road!I've pulled plenty of tractors from pond banks, wet spots etc with my '51 B3 Power Wagon
but I had to anchor the rear and tug with the winch. One time out in the open field, a lime truck dropped the rear into a sinkhole with 9 tons. No winch anchor point and his 6" snatchem kept breaking so he finally had to dump his load before it would budge.I'm still waiting for some snow to creep close to the Mason Dixon! We finally got a faint dusting last night and they already have called off school in most of Kentucky!?!? Go figure.
Anybody else got more mighty CTD sno-go pictures?
