PS intercooler users

I am considering the powerstroke intercooler swap for my truck. I have 2 of the aluminum core, plastic end tank style sitting on the shelf, while it looks like most have used the all aluminum style. Compound turbos are in the near future and I am wondering what kind of boost these coolers will take.

Should I buy an all aluminum one off of ebay, or are the aluminum/plastic ones capable of holding say 80 PSI, I am using 80 PSI as an over kill number just to be safe.

I wouldn't push more than 40psi through any intercooler with plastic tanks. My dads 05 dodge blew a plastic tank at 30 psi (stock). Has an all aluminum stock one now. IMO its worth the extra to find one that has aluminum tanks especially if you're going with twins later on. Guaranteed to blow it then

That is what I thought, I did not trust the plastic tanks to begin with, I only have them because they were free.
