Everything here is similar to stock design, except 2" longer. The hangers are 1/4" wall, and the shackles are 3/8 on one side, and 1/2 on the other. (What I had laying around lol)
I had to have a new one made cuz the last one I had made before I changed the yolk and that height, so yes, but I probably would not have if I wouldn't have destroyed my original shaft. lol If it helps, i have 29.5 inches from the flange on the t-case to where the center of the u-joint cap would be on the yolk.
Thanks randy!
That is along the same lines of what i thought about doing to the front spring, front perch. I will know more on friday when i go down to finish bolting the springs to the axles. Then throw those now small looking wheels/tires on the truck and check for body roll and etc. That should allow me to measure for the right size spring for my application

x2 on the springs being substantially worn. In the first image, the second leaf has cut BIG-TIME into the top leaf. I wonder how far one can go till the top leaf breaks?
I need to go check mine . ... .

mine must of been replaced at some point in its life because mine aren't as bad as most other 1st gens i've seen. Mine are about level right now. My buddy's 92 is way bad, he keeps jokin that he should flip them upside down and run them another 100,000
I was going to comment on the negative arch springs, this truck must have sagged in height considerably since it was new.
An excellent illustration why you should install spring tip isolators.
