Well I took my truck down to get a bunch of body work and paint done last weekend. Good friend of mine is doing the work for next to nothing aside from parts and paint.

This will be a weekend project for the next 2 months, and this is what is on the list:

-Remove trim and plug holes in cab
-Trim two inches from fenders (you'll see why in a month or so
-Fix random body damage
-Spay Everything Dull Black (mirrors, grill, bumpers, headache rack...entire truck!)
-Powdercoat door handles black
-Gunmetal or Saber Gray inlay color only on the sides (refer to picture)
-Dodge letters on grill and and tailgate painted same gray


Attached is not my truck but a different truck that was completely silver before. I added all the black and got ride of all the chrome on photoshop. Not everyones taste but I really like it

-Linex bed, cab floor, rocker panels, bumpers (at a later date)
-Install 3 inch springs all around with rear blocks removed (at later date)
-Cross over steering (at later date)

I will being going back and forth every second weekend to help with the body and prep work and when I do I will bring my camera so I can get you guys some pictures of the progress

what he means by murder it out is paint everything black....but i wouldnt i love everything black with the silver....its different and i love it....

 

Hahaha! Ok that makes a little more sense. There is definitely no going back to stock now

 

Personally I'd add just a little more silver to the scheme, such as the grille inserts. Give the front end a little more pop than the letters. Oh and instead of the silver, I'd go with the darker gunmetal grey color Dodge started using in recent years.

 

Just be careful not to go to "Raida Nation" with it.

 

Yea, it will most likely be gunmetal grey horseman, good idea doing the inserts grey as well. I think your right, it will give it a bit more pop!

After looking at the photo of your truck it dawned on me you could pass as a North Carolina Highway Patrol cruiser!

 

Oh sorry, common knowledge out west. The Gangsta "black hole" out of Oakland. Commonly known out here as the "Raider Nation". Everything they own and wear is Black and Silver.

 

I wonder if the north carolina police know about the raider nation...haha apperently they sport the same gang colors...either way they both have great taste!

Well the dig will be clear of rust, so that is a huge plus! Otherwise dechroming all the plastic and metal will be the only nightmare. Triming the 38's to fit will be a different story...i will take lots of pictures to update on the dream/nightmare as I go
