Yup I know what you mean... You can't find them like that too often any more.
Sooner than later all of the originals will all be gone for the most part You must BUILD your own back to new specs and for that kind of money now I can do exactly that to all three of my 70's trucks!

Darwin,
The longer I own the truck and the more I look it over, the better I feel about the money end of it. I've been all over/under/inside the thing and can't find one flaw on it. Original paint, interior, dash, drivetrain, etc. Lift kit and winch/brushguard along with tires and wheels are all that has been changed and he gave me all the original parts with it. In the end, I'm OK with the price.

We just bought ours on 3/13/2011 and we are happy with what we paid, which is all that matters for us. For the record:
1992 W350 4x4 dually, 302,502 miles on the truck, about 100,000 since motor and tranny rebuild, new tires all around, a few dings on the body including a crunched driver's side front fender (replacement fender came with it in the bed), but nothing modded on the motor (just how we wanted it to start off), solid truck, never wrecked (except for the minor fender thing) - $6500.
Topper with a few scuffs and scratches - $250.
$6750 invested so far and are pretty confident that we will get it to how we want it for a total cost around $10K, give or take.

Picked up my 89 from the original owners with 225000 miles on the ticker for $2000. They were asking $3000 but because I was the only person who showed interest in it and knew what it was they offered it to me for 2

That guy sells about 2 Dodges a week on their with Extremly Low miles and always Very Very clean! He always gets unheard of prices for them too! I know they are legit b/c his rating is 100% and it increases each week with his sales! Just Too Rich for my blood!

$15k with 131K miles from the original owner. Had a fresh $4,000 paint job, all records, a set of 30hp injectors and a timing bump.
This was somewhre around 11 years ago.

I watched that white truck sell too. I seen it when it was first listed, thought it might go for 14.5 to 15.5K. Like you, I couldn't believe the money it went for. I guess that makes all of ours worth maybe more that we thought, huh.
