Price/Condition of your truck.
i bought mine around a year and a half ago, for $5250 bucks.
kinda hurt to sit after a bit when the torque converter went out and did a rebuild of the tranny when i fixed the tc.
then the front end took a beating and had to spend 600 smackers in june.
335k on the old girl. gettin her painted this spring to keep the strictly surface rust so it wont get worse. i still love it though lol

'92 W250, freshly rebuilt Getrag 360, new 35" Cooper STTs, new injection pump, newish paint, HX35, and lots of other goodies for $6500, courtesy of Zinvant on this very forum. Miles are somewhere north of 200k, somewhere south of 300 thanks to a replaced odometer

Though I paid a lot compared to some, the truck is in phenomenal condition.

Dar/1stgenFarmBoy, that is one of the nicest 1st gens I've seen on this site. You cut quite a deal.
I paid $9,500 for my 91.5 truck, primarily because it had just been painted and it had no discernible rust. I took it to Scheid Diesel in Terre Haute and told them to check it thoroughly since I was planning to drive it back east with my 12-year old daughter. well they corrected a few minor issues and charged me $900. in Cleveland I spent another $500 having the wiring re-done at Firestone (fortunately by a veteran Mopar tech, God bless his soul). When I got to Gloucester, MA I took it to a diesel specialist about the multiple diesel leaks it had and he told me to address the problem with a local mechanic since he couldn't start the job while I was there. When we returned home, I took it to a diesel guy in Port Chester who had been highly recommended because I knew the brakes were super-soft and the parking brake didn't work and it needed a NYS inspection . This guy is honest and very talented, but I have replaced or repaired just about every component but the 6BT...I must be into my mechanic for $10K by now (I've been writing checks all along and have never seen a final bill)
Without knowing how much work this truck needed I decided to replace the flimsy stock bumpers in October (which were de-chroming) with HD Reunel bumpers, so that was another $2K. Bought 5 winter tires for $750 and powdercoated some steel wheels I had been given by a friend from his retired Dodge of that vintage...another $300. Also put a new sound system in it...another $300. Alumiknox tool box was $500 and the tonneau cover and bedliner ran me another $250.
So now I have over $20,000 in this truck but it is so righteous now, I hope I'm never forced to sell it!
I'll take a pic of it this week when I install my new mudflaps (another $65)

Traded an old trailer for the cab & chassis with around 140k on it, then spent about 6 months and too much money upfitting it with a 12' service body, transfer tank, built a rear bumper/ work platform/ hitch, 6 tires, brakes, paint, mirrors, stainless simulators, new springs all around, alpine cd player, led strobes. I'm guessing I have around 4k in it, not really sure.
I got mine from my grandpa with about 224,000 on it and was totally stock til I got a hold of it. It was his farm truck (and was treated like one
), he put about 125,000 miles on it, and before that he said it was a vet truck and had a big box thing in the bed. He bought a 99 dodge with a flatbed so I kept askin him about this one and I had a little 91 Nissan truck I traded him for it which was the best deal I ever made. I still remember the first day I drove this truck around the farm when he still had it and I fell in love instantly. I definately didn't think it would come this far.
Here is a little while after I got it:

Here it is about a year ago:

And here it is from just the other day after pullin er out of the garage after two months of workin on er.

Picked mine up at an estate sale a few years back for $1k .123k on the clock, the only down side was the body was all dented up.not any more though.got a little over 5k in it now counting the 1k I paid for it.
Bought my 90 from the original owner in 2001 for 5k. Best 5k I ever spent
. Being a Phoenix, AZ truck it's whole life, not a speck of rust. Had 167k on the clock when I bought it, around 300k now and is my travel vehicle of choice...Mark

not sure, I've had it on for over a year and half and been pulled over a few times and they haven't said a thing about it. I'm from a small town in Idaho and I think they could care less. I don't think most of them even know what it is to tell you the truth
But so far I haven't been hassled about it. I'm thinkin about gettin a full exhaust one of these days though and puttin the hood stack on only sometimes.

HaHA! Right EVERYTHING on EBay is always a completed legitimate sale right? It makes me wonder how many of those items just never get relisted after the first bad experience. BTW; think this is legit? - Want to buy the Discovery Space Shuttle?
