Power steering woes

So the original power steering pump died on my 92 2wd. I replaced it with a brand new one only to have it fail again. I thought it could be a pinhole in a line or something so i put lucas power steering fix in it and checked everything over for leaks. i have since put another pump on it and after it builds pressure, the fluid comes out around the cap. has anyone experienced this or know what a fix could be? thanks

have you bleed the system by turning your wheel with a jack under the front axle and making the pump "squeel" when it gets all the way to one side? and then do it for the other side and repeat untill it gets all the air out, and if it is over full, it will push the excess fluid out the cap. i think you have it over full and it is just pushing the excess out. if im wrong, put another pump on it. i put a new one on my 93 and it went out a month later. i have a lifetime warranty on my napa pump so i just took it back and got a new one.

The shop that put it in bled it but I will try again. I got both replacement pumps from napa. Could something be plugged? Anyone else experience this?

My truck is on its 3 pump as well. The original one was leaking so it was replaced. Withing a couple months the new one started leaking again and it was replaced with the third. This one still leaks but it only seems to leak really bad when its cold out. Dont know if its because the fluid is thicker and builds to much pressure or what. But on hot days or during the summer I usually go 2-3 months without even checking it. Now that the weather is cold I have to check it once a week.

It only pours out after I run it and drive it awhile. Not sure if it will do it when it's idling. I only notice it because I can hear it after I shut the truck off.
