Power steering hose leak and ??
The pressure hose off the power steering pump is leaking.
After I had to add fluid twice in two weeks, I got under it today. Found drips of fluid hanging from the negative battery cable and right above that, the pressure hose.
Wiped it all down, got in and started the truck. Turned the steering wheel stop-to-stop about five times, shut down & got back under. The hose is leaking slowly at the fitting where it goes from tube to hose nearest the pump. It's actually leaking out of the top of the fitting, then flowing down over it.
Q1. What's the proper name for that type of tube-to-hose fitting?
Q2. Does this tube-hose-tube assembly come from the dealer as one unit?
Q3. Are there any "gotchas" involved with changing this hose?

Q2...I would say Yes and if the dealer can't get it i would go to some hydraulic shop and have them rebuild that one!
as long as the metal parts are ok, thats what i would do.
Q3...no, pright much straight forward!
No real problem other than the heat. If you're doing this, turn the wheels far left so you have better access.
