Where's the best place to buy power door lock actuators? Has anybody taken one apart and fixed one?

 

I have not taken 1 apart on the Dodge, but I was able to take a few of them apart on my Range Rover and repair them. On the RR, a plastic part that actuates the lock, but then slides past to position itself for the other direction, wears down and slides past without moving the lock. I was able to use a knife to roughen the surface for more friction. So far they still work. Also, here is a generic, http://www.parts-express.com/pe/show...TOKEN=12196914 , I believe these will work. At 5 dollars, it would be a cheap experiment...Mark

 

I ended up taking the one that wouldn't work apart. It has been full of water and was totally rusted up, looked like it came from the bottom of a pond. I disassembled it all (including the little electric motor) and soaked it in Evapo-Rust, after getting all the rust off and greasing it up, it works again.
