I got one off a 70's chivy that had a winch (sans winch). I knew I would need to modify the frame mounts but it was really too narrow for my Dodge. It wasn't quit wide enough for my tastes although it looked right on the chiv. So now its a really big and heavy boat anchor .

Made by me. Only weighs 130 lbs! It is black now, but I think that white was better.

my 1st rear bumper that I made and Im getting rid of ( too much drop for me hangs up some times but very strong plus would have to lift to make work with body lift) and then there is the one I made and will stick with the grillguard is off a 00 Chevy burb and I made the bumper part.

Don't ask me where I got this. It came with the truck and the PO doesn't remember either:

In my opinion, brushguards like that do way more harm than good. If you actually hit something the whole thing is going to smash the front of the truck rather than just damaging where you hit. Look at the mounting system on that- real slick.

The one that 1stgen545 posted looks like the same brushguard but has a real bumper attached to it, nice job!

Id have to disagree. We ran those for years on several ranch trucks. 1 first gen, and 2 on our 98 chevy, another one on the latest chevy. Fences, cows, you name it, many hard hits...no damage.

How do you figure that? It's got four 3/4" grade 8 bolts holding it to the frame, and it's not exaclty made from sheet metal either.

I'll bet you any money it's alot stronger than the plastic grill, at any rate.
