Pickup engine vs. Heavy truck engine

I happen to have spare diesel motor out of an 89 3/4 ton and was wondering the difference between the pickup engine and the engine they use in commercial trucks such as a Ford 7000. Is it all in the injector pump or are the internal parts different? I am wanting to put this engine in a two ton truck but wonder if it will lack the horsepower to pull itself in a heavy truck. Also would I have to get a different plate to bolt to heavy transmission as opposed to the five speed it did have? Where would such a plate be found new, from cummins or eaton maybe?
I would greatly appreciate and help.

The guts are the same. You can turn up the IP to do whatever you want.

The Block Adapter is likely a SAE pattern for a heavy truck, should be easily obtained from either a truck boneyard, or they pop up on Ebay as well.

IF ITS A 5.9 its not a sleeved engine as in wet sleeves.

The C model has replacement liners. 5.9 never had them.
