Part Number

Does anybody have a part number for the nylon washer that goes on the fuel pin? I pulled it out to adjust the star wheel and it fell off and I didn't know it now its gone forever!

I dont have the part number. However, an o-ring or a square cut o-ring works very well in place of the nylon washer.

haven't some folks just left it out to allow the fuel pin to go deeper, or is that a no-no?

Yaaa...just use an o-ring. Works fine.
It should have a snug fit on the cone assembly shaft and be roughly 3/32" think...or thereabouts...

pb....

Ummmm, . . . . . . Being a LOT more ignorant about such then, as compared to now, I removed mine years ago.

In installing my 3200 spring the other day, I could see clearly the longer track the guide pin was riding without the washer as compared to where it use to ride. The guide pin definitely goes all the way to the absolute narrowest part of the control cone (giving the guide pin the longest reach. IE: More fuel ).

My concern is that the bottom land of the control cone may be putting too much side force on the guide pin, risking bending/binding it, if not eventually breaking it off. Especially considering I've a bait more boost now.

I'm thinking I might mill my washer down so that it's just thick enough to limit the stroke of the control cone so as not to let it go so far as to push on the side of the guide pin, yet still let the guide pin access to the narrowest point on the control cone, . . . . . . and reinstall it.

. . . . . . .. Ya know what I mean?

That was my concern was putting too much down pressure on the pin from the control cone pushing down on it! But the control cone might bottom out on the bottom before that would happen? not sure, need to "mike" it or something. I think the o-ring would work great!

Thanks for the info and ideas guys
