P-pump cruise control?

I have a 1st gen cruise control unit(for my never before equipped w cruise 92) and a 215 p pump swapped in. I have never owned a ve pump or a second gen so im putting together a blind puzzle. The throttle travel on the pump looks to be too long travel to work with the stock style cruise unit. So a second gen one might work. Just seeing if anyone already knew all about it. Thanks

the cruise control cable is actuated by a pin on the bell crank normally mounted right below the intake horn (ignore the spring, it normally does not go there)

so as you can see, if you have your peddle ratio correct, you should be able to make the cruise cable work also

If I'm reading this correctly.
You have a P-7100 IP on a 1st gen truck and your trying C.C. it.?????

I would think the 2nd gen C.C unit would bolt right in. Then its just wiring it in. ICBW

Actually, FYI: pending the truck, there is a spring that goes there (mine has one there stock/OEM).
