search the threads for towing mirrors. You'll find a guy who adapted f-super duty towing mirrors to his truck... or maybe they were newer megacab erra mirrors.
This method is a little more permanent than drilling 4 holes and inserting 4 plastic anchors.

Ugly. I think the mirrors JustRamIt91 is talking about are the late 2nd/3rd gen towing mirrors.

Here is a pic of DNR Customs' truck. He has the mirrors you are talking about. Guess they're not too bad. https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...hp?photo=37657
If seeing around your trailer is the problem, you can make buy extensions for your mirrors, bend new tubing to put the mirrors out farther, or swerve. That's what I do. lol

I have these style mirrors on my truck, and while they give me a good view behind me, (I tow a 4 horse trailer) I find them to be kinda 'crusty'. Ritchie-O put a set of 2nd/3rd gen mirrors on his crew cab build-up. You can see the results in the sticky. I'm kind of thinking I might go this route eventually, just to update the look of the truck a bit. And, I have the LE package and I'm pretty sure I can wire those electric ones into my still existant harness!!
But, if you're going to do any towing, you gotta get rid of the original ones if you want to be able to see behind you. They look cool and original, but ain't worth a darn to tow with, especially trying to back up!

Just my opinion but those are UGLY and if you want big mirrors throw some west coast mirrors on there like the ones you see on the big rigs or bend some pipe and replace the stock tubing on the factory mirror brackets with longer ones or make one that slides in and out with a set screw so when your towing you can extend em out.
Yeah us tenderfeets think you are bein punished for somethin bad to have to deal with this every year but at least you have the most beautiful summers while we are being burnt alive. Have a good night we have to be at the hospital first thing so i'm turnin in
