Arrow $8300 Top Bid When I Just Looked

I figure that truck will easily top $10,000 by the end of auction.

If it were club-cab, 5-speed, 4x4, in that nice of shape, it would top $12,000, according to those I have seen on E-BAY the last several months.

You guys think $8000 is a lot for that truck. An $8000 1st gen in my area is one with some body damage and 250,000kms or so. Heck I paid $7600 for mine and it had 307,000kms. Trust me I was looking for about a month and this was the most reasonable one I could find without totally breaking the bank. I saw an ad for a 93 ext cab 4x4 SE with 150,000kms, bombed a bit, mildly built up auto, gauges etc, the guy wanted... $18,000 obo! And you know what? Some fool will pay that much. I swear, the 5.9BTA must have gold bolts and silver pistons cause any regular gasser you can get for cheap but an older Cummins holds its value.

Actually I had a guy last summer eyeing my truck and he asked me if I wanted to sell it. I jokingly said "$10,000 and its yours". He took me seriously and wanted to make a deal...

I don't care what you pay for a truck it is up to you.

I have to say I will never buy a truck on ebay and pay 50% down within the time frame this guy is asking. 500-1000 deposit is ok then you pay the rest when you pick it up. But that is just me.

you think this one is to high look a non ic same amount of miles but a 89' for over 7100 starting bid!. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1989-...em290108501700

Didn't know my truck was worth THAT much !

And I've only got 23K ( +300k) on it.

Oh, I've also got a battle scar from the time a telephone pole jumped
out into the road in front of me.....The pole got the worst end of that deal.

those are both good examples of as close to a new first gen as someone can get. sure there are trucks that get a lot less $$$$, but they're not as nice or low mileage. i still have a couple of old guys who bring their trucks into the dealer for maintenance. both are in the same condition, and both have told their families how much the trucks are worth after they die. i think that while the majority of these trucks draw from 2k to 6k, the really "cream of the crop" are going to demand a higher premium.

just my 0.02

also the red one has 1500.00 worth of fuel tank in the bed. rock tamers on the back. accesories can add up if you buy a truck without them.

now i'm up to 0.03

wow the red one is up to $9000 . yeah, they are both good trucks. my dad paid $10,000 for his, bought it from his dad after he died, SUPREMO inside and only 50,000 miles, course after we bought it the fuel pump died and we needed new filters... rust accumulation from sitting. .
