Good thing he's in california; he never sell that truck in montana. Then again it does have a lot of stuff done to it that most trucks on ebay don't.

So if that is so expensive where can I find one more reasonable? Im in the market. I had a nice 91 for about 2 weeks until some yahoo decided to turn in front of me. Of coarse the truck was totaled.

That's about $2,000-$1,500 more than it's worth in my neighborhood. For the right buyer who's looking for the mods, it could be closer. If it was 4 wheel drive it'd be worth it definitely.

These trucks are worth good out here.

If you read carefully in the list of mods/repairs, they actually changed the fuel filter once (at 100,xxx miles), and they have reciepts to prove it.

Got mine for $3500 & even though it's no Shine & Shine and it needed (needs) a few minor repairs, I thought it was reasonable. $5900 for a 2WD that old seems somewhat exhorbitant.

My buddy called me up yesterday morning and told me that a car dealer friend of his just delivered a nice 1 owner silver & white 1992 CTD 4x4, 5 speed, 220k on the odo, to his place, via a trailer delivery, that he picked up at a local auction. Anyway, it needs a front passenger side fender, a grill, the hood, a battery tray and a couple of other small things as a small tree fell on this truck. You could tell the prior owner took good care of the truck as, besides what I mentioned, it's in great shape and has the Bank's guages, exhaust and probably some other things done to the turbo (though we don't know that for sure yet). The car dealer got it for $4000 and already has the new fender and other parts ready for him to reinstall. My buddy's going to fix it, then drive it around for awhile before he probably? sells it. He's concerned about the quality of the ride....he thinks it'll ride like a buckboard which would bother his back (he says) but I said to just take a wait and see attitude. It MAY be the best truck he's ever owned. He said the car dealer would also buy it back if he wanted to pass on it but he figures to make a few $$ after it's all back together IF he sells it.
At any rate, he's lucky that he has another truck to look at when he starts putting all that stuff back together...mine. I took him my CTD manual too. But when he looked under my hood, well, it was nice to see an example that's "correct" and all working. That should make the reassembly a LOT easier than if he didn't have one to look at. IF he decides to sell, it'll probably go on Ebay but I'll bet he'll keep it. I'll let you guys know.... Chuck
