Arrow Ohhhh nooo ... not another tire question!

'91.5 W250 ... Eagle Alloy #0550 ... 16 x 7" (-9mm offset and 3.54" backspace)
The Bridgestone Dueler AT LT265/75R-16 'E' ... are done.

Question: Any of you folks running a LT285/75R-16 'E' with this rim?
Any rubbing?
Any problems?
Any tire recommendations or warnings?
Stay with the LT265's .... ?
Thoughts?

Thank you

A friend of mine is running the Eagle 058s on 285s IIRC on his W250 and haven't heard him complain of any rubbing or other issues. I believe he has Michelin A/S on them. I'm sure others will chime in with their experiences.

I have run this combo on a few first gens. That is my favorite tire size for any truck. You might have to trim a little of the bottom of the factory fender trim if you have it. You will see what I mean when you turn really sharp.

I ran 285s on old 16x7 American Racing alloys for years without problems. You do get lotsa sidewall bulge. Like bryson said, you'll need to trim the fender trim if your truck has it and you may still get some rub at times.

I now have Pacer 17x9 with -12 offset running 285/70R-17. My tires were shot and the wheels were badly corroded so it was time to do it!

I didn't have any fender rubbing until running 315/75R16.... all on 16x7 Ford steel wheels.

255/85R16 and 285/75R16 are my fav tires on these trucks.
