NOW what!

So I ended up replacing my steering box and shaft a couple days ago. I get in and all is good. I go 50 ft and no power steering unless you rev it to 2000 rpm. Fuild is where its supposed to be, so I put a new pump on today and it works like a champ. So I back it out for a test drive and now I have NO power brake assist!!!!

I didnt look at it at that point. I suppose I will pull the hose on the vacuum pump and see if its sucking, if so Its got to be a bad hose or brake booster.

So heres the question. If there is NO vacuum from the pump, whats typically the problem associated with that?

BTW, gotta do ball joints, I got the death wobble back again... Any tricks/tips?

i dont do hydraulics but could have an air pocket in your line and it be causing your pump to lose prime until 2000

The vacuum pump is really simple and they almost never fail. I would bet that your problem is a leaky hose (or one that fell off) or a bad booster.

Found it. The hose broke where it hooks into the cruise...
