I hear you on money being tight, they just cut us back at work from 40hrs/week to 32hrs/week. So now I have time to work on my truck, but no money to spend on it.

I'll be running the 92. The 90 is sitting at my parents house for 2 reasons: my dad's truck is broke down and he uses it occasionally and I don't have room to park it at the apartment complex I live in. I wouldn't want to race it anyways, it needs a new clutch or transmission work (or both) to shift right. Otherwise, it requires time and finesse to get to the next gear without grinding it, things that aren't readily available on a dragstrip .

I think the next event we might have to crash would be the NHRDA drag race at Woodburn on August 2nd. I think I'll try to make that one although I don't know if I'll race or not. Guess it depends on how Saturday goes.

Federal Way owner here, soon to be Hobart, then hopefully Fall City. Seeing some other local trucks at a get-together would be cool.

Alwaysworking: Nice shifting! Are you using the clutch? My shifts take about 5 minutes longer...each.

There is even a sweet one for sale, didn't stop to look at it, its a white reg cab, about the same vintage as mine ( Pristine!) but the wife started whining about how I just ot one . No DTR decals up here, maybe we need to air drop recruitment leaflets or do a youtube video . Lot of 2nd and 3rd gens as well, need to get all these guys who secrety love ctd's out of the shadows and grow the DTR nation . Anyway, just figured I'd report on my trip up the left, I mean west coast

Wow, Oak Harbor huh, that brings back memories. My old man was a Navy man when I was a youngin, he was stationed out there when I was 8. We lived out in Coupville in this blue, round house with a beautiful view of the sound, nothin like seein the Nimitz pullin in or a sub on the surface. Too bad I was too young to remember the cool trucks! What is it with you Northlefters anyway??? Quit hoggin the good trucks!

I went. It was fun for me, the clutch not so much. I ran a 16.953 at 81.69 (1st pass ever on a dragstrip, minor clutch slippage), a 18.216 at 80.67 (minor clutch slippage, really bad launch), and a 17.921 at 69.96 (lots of clutch slippage). The last pass started out the best (best reaction time and 60ft) but the clutch just wasn't holding. I don't think the tach came off of 3000rpm the entire time. Oh well. Lots of room for improvement. I took a couple of videos of the guy from 1stgen.org that went (Gearjammer) racing his buddy in a Powerstroke. He ran in the 16's the first 3 or 4 passes, then ran a 15.8x and a 15.92 against his buddy's Powerstroke for the wins. I'll try to get the videos posted later this afternoon and if I get ahold of the videos that Gearjammer's friends took, I'll post those too.
