No start. Stumped on this one

Alright boys, got a good one. 91.5 automatic won’t start with the key. No clicks in relay or starter. Brown wire gets no power from the relay because the yellow wire at the ignition switch is producing no power when the key is turned. Brand new relay. I assumed it was the neutral safety switch so I grounded the center wire at the switch. Brown and yellow I believe it was without looking. I can jump the red and brown at the plug and it’ll crank. I can even feed power to the yellow wire at the ignition switch and it’ll start, this also tells me the relay is good. But for some unknown reason, even with a brand new ignition switch and lock cylinder the yellow wire won’t pull power at the key. I have no fusible links. All replaced with a fuse box. All have power. I can’t find anything definitive, but does the PCM talk to the starting system at all? I see pin #9 says ignition feed but I can’t nail anything down. The FSM makes no mention of it that I can find. I refuse to wire up a push button to start it. I can’t figure out why the halo won’t light up either.... this seems related. Brand new ignition, seems unlikely that it would be bad but you never know I guess.

I would try another ignition a factory one if ya can locate one thats known good, all this junk being made in china I would not count on period just take a look at the brand new Winch motor I just got "Where NOT to buy a winch motor" it was supposed to be an upgrade to the original WARN motor (6hp insteada 4) but it arrived with the wrong armature in it!, have had too many "new" electrical components en up being bad due to cr@ppy quality control etc..

Did you replace with fuses or more fusibles?
I had my start circuit fuse blow the other day. Had a 25amp blade in there for 9months. Swapped in a 40amp. A little colder start, a little less voltage in the battery will spike the amps a bit I guess.

I believe there's a little capacitor somewhere that keeps the halo lit. Maybe it popped?

I'm having a similar issue with my 93..no spring back on the key when I turn to start, all lights come on and I can start truck by jumping the brown from the connector by battery to the actual battery positive but no click at relay or any kind of cranking from key itself but not really charging when I check amps it is only showing 12.15 or so...did u ever figure out what was causing your issue?

did you replace with this amp or something else..I'm doing this in hte next week I have no A/C

Could some of these going bad keep the key from springing back? That seems more like a broken switch then electrical but not sure!
