Yea, but I hope it goes into a museum and they don't try to drive it. The thing will self destruct. It probably will leak from every seal and suffer from 1979 nonexistent quality control issues!

I had a 72 (360 3 speed on the coloum) that i and my two sons drove thru it's lifespan of 600,000 miles . lots of starters and alternators nothing major.
Had a 78 with a 400 and auto (727) i put 280,000 on before i gave it to one of my son's.
Question there being a quality problem with these years dodge trucks, i found them to be solid workhorses.

Thumbs up

herb, Iv'e got to agree with you my old 78 w250 took every thing I could give it and it just kept comeing back for more. It pulled things out of the field, that no truck should have. My dad whould allways say I was going to break something, but never did. He finally started saying if it was going to break,it would have by now If the body hadn't came loose from the frame last winter I'd still be driving it. I will admit I like the 93 cummins I got this spring better but not much.

It's a Dodge gasser. It was out of warranty at 50 miles, and quit running at 90. Was towed 7 miles.

I had a 77 Macho Power Wagon that was a solid truck, and it had a lot of miles on it by the time I sold it, but it wasn't what I would call "nice" compared to my 93. I do miss it sometimes, but not the 10MPG and no air. It was noisy and rough as a cob. Yes, I loved it, OK. I also had a 72 1 ton 4x4 power wagon I got from the forest service. It was a great truck too.

What I meant on the leak thing was any vehicle that sits for long periods of time will leak like crazy because all of the gaskest and seals dry up.

It would just be a shame to drive a car with so few miles. Heck, the oil hasn't even been changed yet!

That would be classic if the guy that bought it just took it out and used it as a beater, a concrete contractor of something.
