Now you need to convince the ole lady to fix that up and keep the other truck also. Why have just one truck when you could have 2.

no room for two trucks. soon as i get a spare weekend im going to get the cutting torches out and the engine lift and start disassembling. im super impressed with the getrag. not that bad of a tranny, fun to drive i think im going to like the 5-speed
i realize that the exhaust on my current truck is not stock. after seeing the one one this truck. the down pipe is way bigger and has nice smooth bends. mine is small and has a bunch of muffler shop bend in it. i think they took it to a local muffler shop and had an exhaust built for it can we say restrictive. i think this might be some of my spool up problem..

I'd just get rid of any kind of muffler you have on your auto truck currently. Maybe get a 4" exhaust when you swap the getrag and stuff in

bradshaw 106 that ole truck looks good. It looks like a fixer upper. Your right on the 5sp. way more fun than the slush box. I have both and the Getrag is a blast compared to the auto., the 5sp makes you feel like your in a muscle car compared to the auto.. Anyways good luck with your project, not a bad looking truck too.

I'll second that... it looks too nice to cut up; that "parts truck" looks like it is in better shape than my beater truck....
