Talking New truck!!

Okay I talked to the bank and I can get a loan now to decide if this trucks worth it its a 93 W350 5 speed only 197,000 kilometers!!on it. Synthetic since new. It was in a rollover early in life so it has a new cab it has seats out of a 96 and twin bypass oil filters the only two nasty things are the crushed velvet interior and the grill but I can fix that the guy wants 6500$ what yall think?

Nice and clean eh?

This was taken a few days ago

A little dusty but overall a pretty clean engine bay

What year is that grill from? I paid $7000 for my W350 when I bought it a couple of years ago and don't think I paid too much. I looked at a few at that time and all were asking between 5500 and 8000. I'd still try and get it a little cheaper then you have some to spend on upgrades and fixes. There is a w350 with an auto for sale just up the road from me in nice shape and I think he is asking 7500.

If you check it all out really close and you are satisfied with condition, maintenance history etc....it would partly come down to the question of do you want a flatbed and are you okay with a rolled truck? Those trucks in the states will often have a branded/reconditioned title. Makes re-sale and value extremely poor. If title is branded, price should be much lower.

Its white right? and 70's grill and the truck has a new title and it was only a light roll and its kilometers on it not miles so the rust shouldnt have set in too bad yet and how many k's on yours? and the grill is not factory hence the inserts at the bottom and soot yea I like it so far haven't gone and looked at it not much time but the guy and his dad own atleast 8 other 1st gens together so I know he's prob treated it well and its always had synthetics which is good

If you get it be sure to ditch the Fram filters.

I paid $17,500.00 for my truck in 1999 and it was not in perfect condition when I got it.

I noticed that fram and shes leaving and a red one that says Baldwin is replacing it! And I am thinking that its a decent price for the rig so I will throughly go through it to make sure its good and then decide any pointers on what to look for besides the obvious?

Those lines are awfully big to be a bypass filter system, is there an oil filter still in the factory location or a block off plate?

Is that $ USD or $ Canadian?

Cab and chassis or converted pick-up? Cab and chassis rear axle is narrower and wheelbase is different. Only matters if you wanted to go back to a box. Otherwise it's the holy grail for 1st gens.

Might not hurt to look in the states, with their economy in the crapper there are some great deals down there. Last week I paid $17900 for MDX that would have cost me $28000 up here and with the exchange about the same its definately worth it.

That being said, the price of older trucks up here is dropping with the record sales of new ones. Just something to consider, Pm me if you want info on importing a truck
