New stock head bolts?
I am having a really hard time finding a place to pick up a set of new stock head bolts. I've tried several places with no luck. Before I take the truck to the track I'd like to install some new head bolts and over tq them. I'm not really looking to go with head studs.

i forget what the old head bolt torque is but i can look it up for you later when i get home and will look in my shop manual. the new ones use a torque plus angle method in the sequence. a final torque of 89ft lbs and then an additional 90* turn. that comes out to at least 125ft lbs.

Because I honestly dont think I need studs at just 50lbs. I have spoken with a few 12v guys running 600+hp and they swear by stock head bolts over tq'ed. So I think I shouldnt have any problems with the turbo limited to about 40psi and a little nitrous. If I decide to go to twins and push 60psi then I will look into studs, but thats further down the road... For now I wanna see what I can do with a small single turbo.
Oh i got ya. I'd just put the head studs in now instead of buyin new head bolts and so you wouldn't have to do it later if I was you and you wouldn't have to worry. But I guess its up to you.
I made 448 at the wheels with 50psi and nitrous on bolts. Torqued to 125 lb-ft. Don't need new ones, just a few extra handy in case some turn more than the rest. That means the bolt is stretching too much and needs to be replaced.
