New Stock Bosch Injectors installed

Was wondering why the motor in my crew was rattling and didn't start at the bump of the starter...

My investigations led me to two large findings:

1.) Exhaust valve on Cyl #6 was more than double the .20 valve lash. Once properly adjusted the ticking noise in my motor went away. The root cause was due to my own human error during the valve adjustment fairly recently...

2.) I pulled all 6 injectors and had them tested at my local shop. 3 were were popping at 500 psi low and 3 were not atomizing at all according to them. So I bought new injectors Bosch PN 0432133874. These were new not reman so I still have my cores. They are 7mm nozzles as well. I believe they are equivalent to bosch 190s or PW 185 but not 100% sure. Definitely more than my stock 1993 nozzles and have 5 holes.

Motor starts up at a bump of the starter now which is nice and it runs a lot smoother as well. I turned up the pump a little bit afterwards and was pleasantly surprised with the response. I turned it back down to a manageable level until I get my intercooler plumbed in.

It is like a new truck. Definitely have your injectors checked. These ones had been out before I could tell but one of them spun in the head as the hold down nut was seized to the body. Left a nice pile of ground cast iron in the injector bore that was hard to clean out - luckily it is a ferrous metal.

EGTs are way down as well across the board which is nice.

That is all just wanted to share - the injection pump place said that the 9mm bore sticks are obsolete now so they may be hard to get from here on out - just a review in case any one else runs into this as well.

Dodge 5.9L Diesel Pick-up Without intercooler 7mm type CDC# 3919347, 3802365RX, OEM# R4720540 (7mm or 9mm - Diameter of nozzle tip, where it fits into cylinder head for 88-911/2 model years. Stock is 9mm, but if heads of engine have been changed, 7mm may be required.) fit 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991 .5

These are 7mm replacements for the non IC 9mm. They should be equivalent to the stock sticks power wise.
