New to me, '91.5 D350 Getrag.

Picked this one up in Lancaster yesterday afternoon. The truck knew it was back there but yanked it home just fine!

The highest EGTs I saw pulling all the hills on the way home holding steady at 55mph, 1100 degs., 15psi.

Introducing the '91.5 D350 Getrag!

To be continued...

Looks a little beat but the body looks solid! Is it a cab chassis or stock WB ?

What's your plans? And does it really have the powerpack? Easy way to tell is the wastegated exhaust housing and banks intercooler.

It was a stock wheelbase dually pickup for its first six years...the Powerpack stage 1 is just the muffler and tailpipe, the latter of which was so poorly engineered it fell off on Los Feliz in 1998 and I just cut off enough of it to use as a turndown ahead of the axle.

And Jimbo...I found the steering wheel back cover and horn button. I had left 'em off when I had to rip out the clockspring assembly at work one day; the clockspring tangled itself up one day in Canoga Park. Sure made that first right turn dicey! I may hold off sending the keys for a few days to see if any other parts turn up and I'll box it all up & ship it UPS.

It's a standard WB and is solid. Only rust I can see is on the surface. A minor dent in the left front fender around the marker light but should be easy to straighten out. Don't see any others but I haven't looked too hard yet.

No wastegate on the turbo. Maybe the Powerpack is a 16cm housing and 3.5" exhaust? I haven't checked the casting on the housing though. I don't think the pump's been tweaked but a couple good snaps of the throttle pushes a good amount of smoke!

Still not sure at this point if I might freshen it up or convert my '90 front end and motor with i/c parts and sell the parts I don't use. The Getrag only has 10 months (+/-) on it after being replaced. I won't have a need for it if I decide to part the truck. Not sure how much $$ it or any other parts could bring in.

Haha that's a good possibility. Probably would've lost all the paint on it too .

There's a boost gauge on the left and a tach on the right.

That's cool. Dealer option? ....and the fender turn signals for the driver are like the ones I had on my 68 Fury III convertible. Those things are sweeeeeet!! Needless to say tha tthe Makita battery charger throws the entire thing way over the top!

Nah, installed by the PO. There's a Makita drill and flashlight in one of the tool boxes too. Jeff didn't care to keep them .

That's 'cos I grew up and bought DeWalts

Have you noticed the 2" riser blocks for the seat? They make it more comfortable on long trips because the armrests sit too high for some people. Long rides were hard on the left collarbone.
