New engine no power part two, maybe more help here. I hope

So I will extend this thread in here hoping for more help.

I swapped a 91.5 intercooled motor into my 90 CTD.

I swapped the front cover over and put it together using the 90 pump. Leaving the Intercooled injectors in place because the old ones in the 90 were shot.

Now the truck has no power. slows down pulling itself up a hill.

UPDATE.

Today I spent 2 hours at a local place called diesel components. We went through all the manuals and pump/injector specs.

From what I can tell on the intercooled engines they turned the fuel up on the pump from the factory and used a smaller flowing injector.

This shop is selling me what cummins calls a "High Flow" Injector.

We could not find flow rates. Does anyone know these injectors and what are their specs???

Is this going to make the truck come back to life? I also have a 16cm housing to put on it and planned to turn the full power screw in one turn.

Am I on the right track here???

Thanks in advance.

instead of those, why dont you throw a set of 190s, PODS or send your 90 injectors to bully dog and have them re-worked? probaly around the same price and more power.

The POD's would work or 190's however the '90 injectors are 9mm and won't work in the IC head as they have 7mm injector bores. Did you turn the pump up any? Also make sure your throttle linkage is allowing full travel.

Question

Excuse me if I ask the obvious but did it (the replacement engine) run ok before you swapped it into your truck replacing the pump etc.?

Could it be your old pump had issues as well as your old injectors ?

I guess I'm asking are all the parts currently in the truck known good to you ?

Turn up the pump.

Bigger injectors will bring it back to life. The '90 pump was set up for injectors that make about 40 HP more than the intercooled injectors - so you lost a good 40 HP at the tires when you put the pump on with no adjustments. If it's not a tow rig then POD's are the best bang for the buck.

It is a tow rig. I was palnning on putting these "high flow" injectors in (I have no idea what the high flow part of it means) and turning up the pump 3/4 to 1 turn.

This older gentlemen at the Diesel components place said these injectors will flow better than 190's. I will trust him, he seems to have many years of expeirence under his belt.

These injectors are way cheaper than POD's as well.
